With the developing nature of the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) the City has decided to take a proactive approach with regard to how drop offs will be handled at the Recycling Center. As of today, March 17, 2020, all participants who visit the Recycling Center will be required to load their recyclable items into the compactor themselves. Previously, a Recycling Center attendant would assist visitors with this but in an effort to promote social distancing the City is asking those who participate to do this on their own. The attendant will still be present to monitor all drop offs and to log in all who come.
The City understands this may be an inconvenience to some community members but we are hoping this will be a short-lived change. As the situation develops, the City will do everything they can to update our residents as soon as possible.
